At the end of 2014 Engine Room was engaged by BNM Waterfront to produce a suite of content for Camp Gallipoli events around Australia.
The films featured all of Australia’s past and current Victoria Cross recipients (Keith Payne, Daniel Keirghan, Mark Donaldson, Ben Roberts-Smith, Cameron Baird – represented via his father Doug), television legend Ray Martin, ambassadors Shane Warne and Shannon Noll, and Ben Roberts-Smith also presented. We also conducted spectacular drone shoots at Sydney’s Hyde Park War Memorial and Turimetta Beach.
One of the highlight pieces was the below “Together at Gallipoli” film. On Saturday 11th April, 22 children, representing many of the cultures that fought together at Gallipoli, came together to shoot a beautiful, evocative celebration of the multiculturalism behind the Anzac Spirit. The children not only each performed a piece of dialogue to camera, but remained a unit as a drone hovered nearby for 10 minutes with crew and parents out of shot.
Camp Gallipoli events were held on Anzac Eve in all major Australian capital cities. Engine Room was proud to be a production partner for such a noteworthy event.
